What's new

Windows 12 - Microsoft starts work from March

No, it's not a typo. According to our information, Microsoft will start preparing for Windows 12 in March. In the run-up, they had already been looking for employees who would then provide additional support to the team. SwiftOnSecurity also confirms this information.

That doesn't mean that we'll see a new Windows 12 tomorrow. This can still drag on, since you start (almost) from scratch. One can assume that the Windows 10 substructure will then be completely abandoned. Windows 11 still has this substructure.

That means in plain English: What you started with Windows 10 X, to do everything new, is then really implemented in Windows 12. The latest changes in the Insider already show where the path is going. Leave old " camels " aside and only implement current things.

PS: The information from SwiftOnSecurity that two TPM modules are then required is of course a joke. But if you start now, also for the Pro, you need an internet connection and later also an MS account, you can already imagine in which direction things are going.

The core elements, some of which Microsoft has already launched with Windows 11 or will launch with the fall 2022 update (“22H2”), include:
  • Mandatory for Microsoft account in Home and Pro
  • An even stronger focus on TPM 2.0 and Secure Boot
  • Integration of the security chip “ Microsoft Pluton ”
  • Completely new substructure without the legacy
  • Take up approaches from Windows 10X

I heard that you need Microsoft pluton chip to use it, many machines won't have it so I wonder how long before a fix comes out :)
That was my question exactly. Please, someone tell me I won't have to upgrade everything under the hood!

I doubt it since the chip has barely come out for general use

Just waiting for AMD to get it out in desktop CPU form. Haven't been able to find one. Of course, I'm sure all the bots will snatch up those.

I'm not going to buy all new machines in order to have Windows 12! Windows 11 should be around until 2030, since 10 will be around until 2025. Should get me to around 94; by then I won't care about 'puters.

This is actually pretty good!

Yes, it does.

I tried out Win 11, and there is NOT much that I will find enhancing for me, so I am sticking with Win 10 for the time being, especially as Win 10 still has a lot of support left in it.

Win 12 looks quite good on the surface, so I might wait and then treat myself to a new computer and OS.

I will obviously get hold of the ISO and give it a test run in a VM whenever I can.

Well... out of all that, I think the only decent thing is the dynamic wallpaper. :)

W12 will have "Neural transmission " so no keyboard or mouse needed -- just think what you want to do and the screen will adjust accordingly. Even today "Neural Networks" aren't totally in the realm of Science fiction and are being implemented particularly in Stock trading. If you haven't seen it you should have a look at the TV series "The Fear Index" based on the "VIX" index in stock trading -- the "Volatility Index" and roughly follows Robert Harris's book of the same name.

Spolier alert. left a few lines so people dont have to accidentally see it.

Trading company generates fast algorithm based on human "Fear" emotion when scanning world news / events -- of course really fast internet needed. After a while the "Quants" (traders) notice that the algorithm while making a load of money is doing seemingly the wrong things by "Shorting" very profitable businesses etc and going over the Trading standards limits when "Shorting" stock.

This is a process where you SELL stock you actually don't have at a high price and before a trading period ends you have to "buy back" to "close your position -- i.e you flog say 100 shares so you have -100 and then to close the position you buy back 100 so net hold is 0. The trick is when you buy back you buy at a hugely lower price so mega profit can be made.

The algorithm then shorts a very profitable airline whose stock is rising fast so totally "Illogical". Then what happens is the airline has a plane crash and the whole stock falls -- but suspicion doubts linger as to whether the algorithm which using A.I is learning very fast daily actually caused the plane to crash.

So they try and switch the algorithm off to cease trading -- ......... but !!!!!!

enjoy -- even those who know zilch about how the stock market works should enjoy it.

Cheers
jimbo

I'm now extremely sceptical.

Pluton? apparently is:

Pluton, a body of intrusive igneous rock.
Pluton is one of the three Ancient Weapons, alongside Poseidon and Uranus.
Pluton is a highly advanced warship capable of mass destruction.

Don't think we need to worry about this until Win10 is dead and buried, I'd guess that further developments of Win11 are being misconstrued as Win12.
