What's new

Trouble getting Windows 12 to install.

And you need to pay the monthly subscription to get access to download any other web browser than edge.
Then you need to pay 1500 a month for Windows updates.

Correct. I also forgot to mention, you must be be logged in to an Xbox Two console via the same subnet, else Windows 12 setup won't detect the PC's 2nd TPM.

They probably are starting on Windows 13 already.
Oh wait... even Microsoft isn't brave enough to name an OS Windows 13, right?

I think they'll skip Windows 13, so John can use it in his signature. :)
I was thinking that - they can't possibly use 13!

I think they'll skip 13, just because, and probably skip 14 cause it sounds wimpy.
I think the one after 12 will be Windows 15.

It "sounds" new and improved.

But who knows... maybe MS will think: "If we make a Windows 13, everyone will KNOW how tough we are". :)
I think they'll stop using numbers after 12 - because 12 is a dozen right? They'll go to sci fi names. Next windows version with be "Zorg with Pluton" ;)

When 11 was released on 5th October it was re-imaged back to 10 and was offered the upgrade in Windows Update on 20th October. My SYSTEM THREE is a Dell Latitude 5410, i7-10610U, 32GB RAM, 512GB ssd, Windows 11 Pro. My SYSTEM FOUR is a 2-in-1 convertible Lenovo Yoga 11e 20DA, Celeron N2930, 4GB RAM, 128GB ssd. Unsupported device: currently running Win10 Pro, plus Win11 Pro 22H2 RP as a native boot vhdx.

I would have thought it would be better to sort out all the stuff in 11 before worrying about 12, still it creates hype which is good advertising for MS

So, are we going to have to upgrade out CPUs to one with a Microsoft Pluton chip??

Great. And probably a new MB. Man, I just talked my wife into letting me get a new video card! C'mon Microsoft! I'm not made a money!
I'm sure the Pluton CPU will require a new motherboard. I hope Windows 12 will run on computers that are Windows 11 compliant. I bought my new desktop May of last year so it will be a while before I can upgrade.
