I think they'll skip 13, just because, and probably skip 14 cause it sounds wimpy.
I think the one after 12 will be Windows 15.

It "sounds" new and improved.

But who knows... maybe MS will think: "If we make a Windows 13, everyone will KNOW how tough we are". :)

With the speed at which technology changes, coupled with the way hackers continue to breech and utilise every loop hole they can find, IMO, I can only assume that what, when and how Windows 12 will look like or indeed be released will very much be a WORK IN PROGRESS.
In today's society of the 24/7 news cycle, the more media coverage company's like Microsoft can get will only help the value of their share price.
