Trouble getting Windows 12 to install.

Windows 10 --> Windows 11 --> Windows 1?

Is Windows 12 will be skipped or Windows 13?
I think when it comes time they'll skip 13 and go to 14

Windows 10 --> Windows 11 --> Windows 1?
Is Windows 12 will be skipped or Windows 13?
Nobody knows.
Nobody will know for ages.
It's just a development project and it's only just starting.

it will be unfortunate if Microsoft skipped Windows 12 or 13.

Hi folks
I can't imagine any company - especially a huge International one failing to work on "Next potential" product. I don't buy into "Windows 11 is the final release" -- the brand name is just too important -- and even if the OS itself isn't the biggest money spinner for Ms any more services etc derived from the OS continue to grow.I still believe also that with vastly better broadband and cloud reliability there will be an increasing demand for "Cloud based" services. So a "Windows Cloud version" could be quite reasonable in the not too distant future where the local computer acts as a "Smart terminal" with some local storage and hardware attached.

This would also relieve the users hardware from having to be "The most up to date" etc .
I think W11 was actually released too early and is just a transition between a traditional OS resident entirely on the local hardware and one that is essentially cloud based.

A couple of years ago I was against that idea saying "I'd never use it" but with Internet speeds of approaching 1Tbps and even beyond (several Gbps are available already in a lot of places) and virtually unlimited storage on cloud servers I rather like the idea -- for those who want to continue tinkering with computers there's always "The dreaded L.. word" !!

Cheers
jimbo

I did some research into the TPM 160.1:
Installing Windows 12 and facing errors? Your computer must have TPM 160.1 to run the new and improved operating system. Why do we use TPM 160.1? We use TPM 160.1 to ensure your computer is the slowest, and by using the new technology, we can ensure you can only buy our new offerings. :money:

I'm not sure about this..

That's because it requires two TPMs instead of only one, in addition to an Xbox Live Gold account for Home and Pro. For Educational or Enterprise, first be sure to upgrade your account to Ultimate.
