Take your pick of "major pronouncements or Denials" Whether it's Putin's "denial of bombing civilian population and infrastructure", Banks doing the "best for their customers", Ms denying future Windows developments beyond W11, Politicians always telling 100% truth etc etc.

Over to you -- and good luck with the choices on offer. W12 will be a fact in one way or another - whether it's actually called that or not.

Cheers

The first computer we had was a Hewlett Packard, which was the one running Windows 98 we got in September 1998. Of course, in those days there was no RAM or storage to speak of, you did get the OS discs though. It came with Lotus 123, I loved the drawers across the top. It was the first time I'd touched a computer though.
My very first computer was an Atari 800XL. I later purchased the CD tape drive for it but it was too much of a pain. When they came out I bought the 5 1/4 disk drive for it and a short time later I added a second 5 1/4 drive. The printer used very short ink pens.

Remember those "Golf Ball Printers".

I do remember a program called "The Last one" that was advertised as "The last program you'll ever need" which was quite good for the time. It was a reasonable attempt as aa "Code Generator". You wrote the logic of the program you were trying to solve and the program would try and internally covert it to the machine's "Basic" language" I think Machine code for 8086 CPU's and then use the Basic Interpreter program to execute.

Wasn't a bad effort actually. On the IBM's 360 and later 370 mainframe systems IBM had a internal PL/S type of language which converted high level code into the machine assembler language and then ran that through the system assembler to generate machine executabl;e code.

These days compilers generate code directly however languages like PYTHON which are incredibly simple to use operate as "Interpretive" systems which means programs are translated and executed immediately in line rather than requiring the whole thing to be complled before testing etc -- which allows users quicker and more accurate development .

Apart from a German website has there been any other indication (official) that Windows 12 is actually an immanent thing yet or in the next 12 months at least?

How did you NOT title this topic: Windows 12, fact or fiction? :-)
