I already have TwentyForums locked up :)

You missed it - Windows will go from Windows 15 to Microsoft 365 as an add-in.

Ther is not gonna be a Win20..... :lmao:

Balderdash, Poppycock, Conjecture, and Utter Nonsense
Whilst I think that Names are more memorable and generally more professional sounding than Numbers I can't see Microsoft using any of your suggestions as a replacement for "Windows 12", although I believe that "Windows Utter Nonsense" was an early Alpha Name for Windows 8 ;)

Yes,, there will be a Win12 the only question is when. I think MS has staff working on the concepts and ideas for 12 already it would be hard to beieve that they don't have a project team working on future ideas for Windows. We could see it come out later this year or early next year

Jeff, yes, it's likely that they are working on the next release of windows - but a more sensible timeline would be a release after the end of support for Windows 10, having three actively supported operating systems is not an easy thing to manage, for anyone.

IMHO, MS had two versions of Windows 13. One was called Windows Vista and the other was called Windows 8.

Not what I say or think means anything, but if I was to just make a stab in the dark, then 2025 is looking good for Windows 40th anniversary.
Who knows, they may even nickname it "Windows Ruby" :)

I used WinMe, it was always ok for me, I also used Windows 8 then 8.1. In fact, I've used every edition since the first edition of Windows 98.

The only ones I've not used have been the second edition of 98 and Windows 2000.

My only experience with Windows Me was when a friends computer got hosed and he asked me to do a factory reset. I stayed on Windows 98Se until Vista was released. I hated Vista so I switched to Mandrake Linux. I took the opportunity to be a Windows 7 tester and liked it so much I decided to stay with it.
Edit: My first Windows computer was a Packard Bell 386 running Windows 3.11 for Workgroup.

Apart from a German website has there been any other indication (official) that Windows 12 is actually an immanent thing yet or in the next 12 months at least?

All they reported was that people were being recruited to work on a Windows 12 project.

So we're talking about many years in the future not next week. Perhaps 31st September 2027

All the best,
Denis

Edit: My first Windows computer was a Packard Bell 386 running Windows 3.11 for Workgroup.
The first computer we had was a Hewlett Packard, which was the one running Windows 98 we got in September 1998. Of course, in those days there was no RAM or storage to speak of, you did get the OS discs though. It came with Lotus 123, I loved the drawers across the top. It was the first time I'd touched a computer though.
