What's new

Windows 12 is coming soon

@martyfelker ,

That is an old link and apparently pure, unsubstantiated speculation. Windows 11 has just released 24H2. Don't hold your breath for Windows 12 just yet! 😉

Have a great weekend.

Regards,
Phil

I guess it's a free forum, and you can say that MS has just released ver. 24H2, if you want, but...
I've been running it for over six months. It is actually a very nice OS. And FAST too! *
You've been waiting for the train to come in, while waiting at the wrong station!!!

But just a tip: It's a lot different from Windows 10, so don't update from 10 to 11. That's a stretch, fraught with problems.
Do a CLEAN install of 11.

@TechnoMageSG1 ,

I don't take the train, so I won't be at the wrong station. You have told us repeatedly over on ElevenForum that you are running something you designate as Windows 12, but it is not the official Microsoft Windows 12 because that beast does not officially exist. If it did, this Forum would be very active instead of being almost dormant, except for the "What Are You Listening To" topic in Chat.

Windows 12: Rumors, leaks, and everything we know so far

You can find far more links, if you trouble yourself to search for "Windows 12." I am abandoning this topic because it is pointless to try to convince you.

Have a great day.

Regards.
Phil

Duh, I don't ever remember saying that I am or have ever been, running Windows 12, since it's common knowledge that there is no such thing. I'm running the very latest build of Windows 11, Optimum, 24h2, Build 26100.2314 (currently).
If you want to bash me, go ahead, but get your facts straight.
So, if you want to convince me of something, then at least convince me of something that's accurate.

Personally I dont believe that Windows 12 is coming soon. I feel that with WIndows 11 here Microsoft will make use of that system. After two or three years, then Windows 12 comes out. Just my predicition.

Around the ol' water cooler, that seems to be the common thought. Win 12 is on the back burner.
MS and others are still tweaking, tuning, and improving Windows 11, 24H2, decrapifying it and making it faster and more user friendly.

I'm running one of those totally decrapified versions, and even on a 12 yr old desktop PC, it runs like a scalded cat. Best OS I've ever had, since DOS, that is.

Jesse, when I wanted to look at your PC SPECS, I was forced to log in to an MS account, which I don't have, nor will I ever have. Arggg!

Got snow, yet?

Happy Thanksgiving,
