I am glad it suits you Mike, it's hard to get the perfect temp but I prefer to be a bit cooler but do love a hot summer but not over the top hot

Well I spent over 2.5 hours mowing my lawn yesterday ....and that was on my lawn tractor too LoL

Wow that is a lot of mowing, perhaps you should get a goat

we have them here in certain places done by the council as a greener alternative

I have someone who comes and cuts my grass for me, although this year I told him to leave parts untouched to help the bees and butterflies etc. It has gone mad, there was a good showing of nettles and now there seems to be quite a lot of thistles starting to flower. It will just cost me more to get him to cut everything back at the end of the growing season so it doesn't look untidy and unlived in.

We have a small are at the front and a few borders we leave untouched for wildlife, even living next to a wood it still works very well for different types of insects

Mine isn't that big but I live in a village surrounded by farmland, well on one side about a mile away it's the sea. I have large Ash trees around me and fields behind me.

Well, it's not very good here today, we've had a decent stretch of very warm summer weather here but starting yesterday it's back to cloudy, windy, with lots of rain and chilly.

We've not had the thunderstorms that we were told could happen but when it decides to rain it's more often a cloudburst and last for a while then it's fine again, at the moment we have blue sky, white clouds, grey clouds and the sun every now and then, typical English summer weather.
