Since someone wrote down the first piece of music, how many others have been written down or recorded? Thousands? Millions? Number unknown?
At 81 (now) I've been listening to music since I was too young to operate the family record player.
Since then, I've listened to literally Thousands of pieces of music, both Instrumental and Vocal. I really liked Elvis Presley's "Love me tender". I used to sing that to my girlfriend, at the time.
In the past few years, I look back at all the music I've listened to, and I come up with one piece of music, written for the Pipe Organ, that stands out above all the others. That is the "Tocatta and Fuge, in D Minor" by J.S. Bach.
I've listened to it, played on some of the worlds most majestic Pipe Organs, but this version sort of takes the cake.
In this presentation, it's more about the organists than the music they are playing. I enjoyed watching this vid. and maybe you will too.
And, the two organists are Barefooted too!
My hat is off to the inventor of the "Floor Organ", and how much it sounds like a real Pipe Organ.
